In the case of large spills, the Crib Topper can be machined washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your topper.
For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (such as Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry.
Please keep in mind that machine washing change the feeling of the topper to an extent.
There is a natural compression of the wool during the first few weeks of use, of 15%-20%. This is due to the felting process of the wool and will settle after the initial break-in period. For even wear and optimum comfort, we recommend alternately flipping (turning over) and rotating (head to foot) the topper periodically. Do this once a week for the first few months, then every few months as needed.
The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals.
